Everything We Bought Gor Our Airbnb Glamping Set Up

This year we decided to take a risk and set up a tent in our back yard for glamping. We actually lived in this tent for 2 weeks before we rented it out to anyone else. Here is everything we bought for our Airbnb Glamping set up for a great experience!

airbnb glamping set up

The Tent

Tent– we got a 16 foot tent that people can stand up inside of. We did have to water proof the top ourselves.

Ground anchors– the tent came with some cheap stakes, we bought these so it would for sure stay in place.

Outdoor Door mats– we got these for both the front and back entrance we want our guests to use to limit the debris inside.

Indoor door mats– again this is to limit the debris inside. This mat is much softer and catches lots of dirt.

Boot tray– we have a boot tray inside to keep shoes dry inside but also keep the ground from dirt, mud, and water.

Coat hook– people need somewhere to hang their coats, this coat hook is modern and can be larger or smaller depending on your needs.

Rug– we have the same rug inside of our 2 bedroom unit and we like it enough to use it for glamping!

The Bed

Night stands– these nightstands are basic, but do the job

Bed frame– I’m not sure I would purchase this bed frame again as it’s hard to get the blankets and sheets tucked into the skinny slats.

Mattress– this mattress is comfortable.

Mattress encasement– we always protect our mattress’ with one of these.

Mattress protector– a mattress protector keeps liquids from damaging the mattress.

Sheets– we have been using elegant comfort sheets for our entire marriage.

King blanket– we decided to make it easier for us by using the same blue knig blanket on this queen bed. It also makes tucking it in a lot easier.

Throw blankets– we got the same throw blankets that we have in our 3 bedroom Airbnb.

Throw Pillow covers– we have some simple gray throw pillows for the aesthetic.

Extras

Big Baskets– these cloth baskets can be washed if needed. We use them to hold our towels and extra blankets.

Small baskets– these baskets are great for holding little amenities.

Clock– the alarm clock we usually get wasn’t in stock when we needed it, so we bought this one. It has charging capabilities and looks nice.

Fake Plants– we like this style of plants and bought a pack.

Charger– since we don’t have a lamp with plugs ,we needed someway for our guests to charge their phones that doesn’t use too much electricity.

Power block– this power block allows our guests to have more places to plug in their electronics.

Shower Sandals– we got some adidas sandals in generic sizes to accommodate our guests as they go to and leave the shower.

Fan– a small fan helps move air in the tent.

First aid kit– we have this same first aid kit in all of our units. The just in cases are taken care of with this simple kit.

Dehumidifier– it can get quite moist in the tent, so we have this to help keep it cool.

Kitchenette Set Up

Water dispenser– to provide hot and cold water to our guests, we have this water dispenser for instant hot or cold water. We got ours from Facebook marketplace, but this one is similar.

Fridge– a mini fridge with a fridge or freezer is perfect for keeping cold or frozen foods.

Paper towel dispenser– we got a paper towel dispenser to hold them under the shelf, but that didn’t end up working out, so we ended up getting a stand.

Microwave– we got ours at a garage sale. It’s just a simple item that makes it easy to heat up food.

Bakers rack– this shelf holds all of our kitchenette items. This isn’t exactly what we got, but quite similar.

Tray– we got a tray so our guests can transfer food and dishes outside if they wanted to.

Plates– wheatgrass plates are virtually unbreakable and a great choice for glamping.

Utensils– just a set of amazon basics utensils work well.

Wine glasses– in case our guests want a glass of wine. We like the aesthetic of stemless ones.

Mugs– we got nice mugs for our guest to enjoy hot chocolate or coffee.

Cutting board– a simple white cutting board to make sure our kitchenette doesn’t get damaged.

Wash tub– for our guests to put their dirty dishes.

Coffee set up (see my other Airbnb kitchen post)

Wine bottle opener– for opening a bottle of wine.

Can opener– cans are common for camping, so it was a must have for our glamping set up.

Scissors– kitchen shears are a versatile item for glamping.

Knife– a generic knife with a cover.

Spootula– for stirring items

Utensil tray– to hold the utensils, it has to fit in the tray the kitchenette has.

Salt & pepper– we like the aesthetic of these grinders. When we had Kirkland ones in our other units they walked off, these have stayed.

Grill tools– if you have a grill you have to have tools, we just provide tongs and a spatula.

Fire extinguisher– something to stop a fire is all you need.

Trash can– we got a foot step trash can.
