Everything We Bought For Our New Airbnb King Room

We started an Airbnb rental this summer.  My husband and I grew up with our families having rentals, so it was quite familiar to us. I worked at several hotels around town after high school. My husband and I had talked about doing Airbnb rentals and when one of our long term rentals opened up we got to work.  To start an Airbnb you need to have a lot of things to make your unit homey.  Our unit has 2 bedrooms, a washer & dryer, and a full kitchen. This is my first post on what is in our Airbnb, I plan to continue to share what other rooms in our Airbnb have. Here is everything we bought for our Airbnb king room.

I make no money from these links, these are just the products I purchased. All opinions on this blog are my own.

Getting Everything Ready

Before we bought anything we had to clean and add an accent wall. Here’s what the room looked like before anything was added.

Room

Here is the bedroom after we had finished.

Furniture

Rug– I love this rug and it’s geometric pattern.

Bedframe– I enjoy the fabric upholstered bed frames.

Mattress– I love the mattresses that come in a box. I find them so comfortable.

Ottoman– This is to hold extra blankets and double as a luggage rack. I don’t know if I would buy it again because the space where the buttons are collect lots of difficult to remove lint.

Nightstands– We went through 4 different nightstands before we landed on these.

Desk– I love the simplicity of this desk

Rolling stool– This stool is small enough to be out of the way, but comfortable enough to sit on for hours of work.

Mirror– These full length mirrors look great and allow you to take a look at everything.

Shelf– This shelf holds some games and books.

Bedding

Mattress encasement– To protect your mattress, a mattress encasement makes sure that everything stays off of the actual mattress.

Mattress pad– On top of the mattress encasement we put a mattress pad that is waterproof incase of any accidents or spills.

Sheets– These are the brand of sheets we have on our bed and we love how soft they are.

Soft pillow– These are the soft pillows we bought.

Firm pillow– These firm pillows aren’t as firm as I like my pillow, but they are defiantly more firm than the soft ones.

Pillow protector– To protect our pillows we have pillow protectors on each pillow.

Pillow case– These are the patterned pillow cases, they are the same brand as the sheets. The white pillow cases came with the sheet set.

Blanket– If I were to buy new blankets, I would get a California king one so that it easily tucks in.

Comforter– This isn’t quite a comforter, but it is what we bought to top our bed.

Throw pillows– These are the lumbar support pillows we got to finish off our bed.

Throw pillow cover– I love the simple tree design on these pillow covers.

Finishing Touches

Cards– We got a simple deck of cards for our guests.

Spot it– This game is fun and easy.

Uno– Who doesn’t love Uno?

Codenames– This is one of my favorite games and we hope our guests enjoy it as well.

Desk lamp– This desk lamp has plugs for easy charging.

Curtain rod– This curtain rod are simple and elegant.

Curtain– I love these curtains, the only thing I would change is the silver to be gold so it matches better.

Painting– This painting really completes the room.

Small fake plant– This plant is one of my favorites, it’s cute and finishes off the top of the shelf.

Large fake plant– To complete the corner of the room we bought this plant.

Fan– To keep our guest’s cool, we got a basic fan.

Hangers– These are just basic black hangers.

Lamps– We love these nightstand lamps and their charging capabilities.

Alarm clock– This alarm clock can charge a phone and wake you up.

Orchid– We saw some fake orchids at an Asian restaurant and decided our Airbnb needed one, and I am so glad we got this one.

Baskets– These baskets help hold our games and books.

Most things we bought off of amazon, but a bedframe that would ship to us was hard to find, so we bought one from Walmart.  Let me know if you love any of the things we have in our king room!

I’m a born and raised Alaskan and stay-at-home mom of two.  I love baking, scrapbooking, and working on money saving strategies.
