Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions diced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1/2 tbsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp worsteshire sauce
  • 2 tbsp garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup broth
  • 1 1/2 cups peas & carrots frozen
  • 1/2 cup corn frozen
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Shredded celery optional

Topping:

  • 1 packet of potatoes
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Cook beef set aside
  • In a large pan cook onion & add garlic
  • Add seasonings, meat, and veggies
  • Cook for 5-10 minutes to let the flavors meld
  • Make potatoes as the package states
  • Add butter, milk, seasonings and cheese to potatoes
  • Pour the mixture into a 9x13 pan
  • Spread the potato mixture on top
  • Broil for 5 minutes. The purpose of broiling is to brown the top
