Easy Airbnb Meals Simple Recipes For Travelers

Cooking while traveling doesn’t have to be stressful. If you’re staying in an Airbnb and want simple, affordable meals without relying on restaurants, you’re in the right place. These easy meal ideas use minimal ingredients, require basic kitchen tools, and come together quickly—perfect for families, busy travelers, or anyone who wants good food without the hassle. Here are some Airbnb meals to make eating on vacation simple.

Staple foods

  • Meat
  • Eggs

  • Seasoning blend (usually something with salt & garlic)
  • Rice/ grain

Top tips

Bring oatmeal packets for quick breakfast for the first day at least 

Choose foods for the location you’re in. In Mexico eat quesadillas. In Asian countries eat lots of rice. It will be easier to find the ingredients for these items in these locations than trying to eat quesadillas in Asia. 

Don’t try to recreate complicated meals, simple is better 

Plan to repeat some of these meals more than once 

Add in fruits where you can and get local snacks from the grocery store. 

If there’s a Costco near by, get the whole chicken and shred it for recipes

Oatmeal– brown sugar & cinnamon

Meat, rice & veggies– rice, chicken, duck, turkey, beef, pork, fish, broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, potatoes, bean sprouts, greens, onions, mushrooms

Fried rice– meat (spam, chicken, shrimp), eggs, peas, rice, soy sauce)

Soup!– protein, veggies, broth, spices

Pb & j– bread, peanut butter & jelly

Quesadillas– tortilla, cheese, chicken

Tacos– meat, seasoning, tortilla, greens

Eggs– scrambled, over easy, hard boiled, etc.

Ramen– packaged ramen, add veggies and a soft boiled egg for a more well rounded meal
