Snack Bags for Kids on the Go Travel-Friendly Ideas

Traveling with kids can be unpredictable, but having the right snacks on hand makes the journey so much smoother. Snack bags not only keep little ones full, busy, and happy, but they also help cut down on airport prices and road trip meltdowns. Here is exactly what I packed in my kids’ snack bags for travel — simple, mess-free options that worked well for us and might give you ideas for your next trip.

kids travel snacks
  • Pb & j
  • Granola bars
  • Fruit strips
  • Fruit snacks
  • Crackers
  • Pretzels
  • Honey Nut Cheerios
  • Animal crackers
  • Cookies
  • Yogurt covered raisins

We pack all of these snacks into a hanging toiletries bag so our kiddos have access to them and their bags stay organized. They are allowed to eat the items in pretty much any order, but once the item is out it is out. Each of my kids also have their own water bottle that I fill with ice before we go to the airport and once we are through security I fill it up with water.
