When you’re first starting up an Airbnb, you want to make sure your guest has the best experience possible. One way you can ensure that is to provide amenities that fill all of their potential needs. Here are some things an Airbnb newbie might forget:

Facial tissue
When you need to wipe your nose, a facial tissue is what you need. Make sure your guests have this necessity.
Baskets for organization
All the things need to be organized well so guests can get to everything they need without any struggles.
Utensil organizer
Having utensils is an essential, but make sure you have a way to organize them so they’re not just thrown into a drawer.
Fake decor
You can use real plants, but fake plants will fare better and won’t require anything from your guests. You will need some tall, some small, and some dangly plants. For art and other decor, don’t get one of a kind irreplaceable pieces. If they are damaged, there isn’t anything the guest or Airbnb can do to replace it.
Closet shelving
Having a closet isn’t enough, you need at least one shelf and one closet rod so your guests can put away their clothes if they desire doing so.
Cleaning cloths & all purpose cleaner
So your guests can take care of the space, provide them with some basic cleaning supplies.
Clock
It’s always helpful to know what time it is, make sure each room has a clock of some sort.
Front door mat
A front door mat will make sure your guests can stomp their feet off of snow, dirt, and mud. It’s best to have one mat outside of the door and one right inside as well.
Games
Just one or two simple games can help your guests be entertained incase of poor weather or just something to do when they’re hanging out. We love spot it and splendor.
Books
A few books of fiction, or self help can be fun for your guests to explore. Locally written books or kids books can also be a hit.
Containers
There are some small items that will need containers or organization baskets to keep the space looking clean and organized. Any laundry pods, dish washing pods, q-tips, and cotton balls should be contained in a small container for each. They can be left in their original container if you desire, just be sure you plan it in.
Parchment paper/aluminum foil/plastic wrap
At a minimum aluminum foil can be helpful for making sure your pans are kept in good condition. Plastic wrap is also good for your guests to have access to.
Napkins
Napkins are usually something guests would like access to. Make sure you have some and a nice napkin holder to go with it.
Hot pads
An oven without hot pads is basically useless. Provide your guests hot pads to protect your tables and counters as well as their hands.
Fire extinguisher
In case of the worst, having a fire extinguisher that is up to date can ensure the building doesn’t get burned down.
Oil
To cook, oil of some sort is almost always necessary.
Ice tray
If your fridge doesn’t have an ice machine attached, provide some ice trays.
Baking pans
An 8×8, 9×13, and 2 half sheet pans should provide your guests with almost any meal possibility available.
Pot/ pan organizer
Make sure your pots & pans look aesthetically pleasing when put away so they don’t become a jumbled mess of mismatched lids and pans. A pot & pan organizer can solve this problem easily.
Hand soap dispenser
If you use small disposable dispensers or buy nicer looking foaming, or automatic dispensers, some way to easily pump soap onto your guests hands is necessary.
Scissors
Some kind of scissors can be used to take tags off of something, open bags or a great variety of uses. Have some sort of scissors readily available for your guests.
