Charge all devices
Make sure your headphones, iPads, laptops, phones, and portable chargers are all charged all the way. Although most planes have plug-in’s, there are some that don’t and it’s not fun to go on a long flight with a device that dies part way through the flight.
Download all content
Make sure videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and other content is downloaded. The Wi-Fi on a plane or in the airport can be spotty so make sure you’re all prepared. Most streaming platforms only allow you to keep downloaded movies for 30 days, so if it has been more than that since you downloaded, you will need to renew the license.
Pack nonperishable snacks
All the snacks are needed for flights especially with kids. You can even bring a thermos full of a warm meal if you want but make sure you pack that at the last minute.
Double and triple check everything
Check that you have everything packed. Check your flight, check that you have gas in the car. If you’re missing anything run to a store and grab it.
Make a list of last minute things
It can be incredibly helpful to tape a paper with all the items you should pack right before you leave such as your wallet, phone, other electronics, a kids stuffed animal.
Weigh your bags
If you have weight restrictions for your bags, weigh them and adjust your bags as needed. If something is too heavy in one bag, try to move it into a different bag.

Get a good night sleep
Make sure you sleep well. Drink some non caffeinated tea, diffuse some essential oils, take a hot shower and get a good nights sleep so you’re all ready for your trip. * Pro- tip, make sure to stay hydrated on your flight to avoid jetlag.
