Fairbanks, the second largest city in Alaska, is full of rich history. Located in the middle of the state, there are literally dozens of restaurants in Fairbanks Alaska. I’ve narrowed down the top restaurants to my top 10 in the area. This list is in no order and none of these restaurants has paid me to be on this list. All opinions are my own.

Hungry Robot
This pizza place located in Fairbanks was visited by Guy Fieri and featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.(S38E2) They are a true wood fired pizza joint with incredible combinations. The owner is amazing and will make it right if anything goes wrong. I love the burning bumblebee and the dilly dilly. The owner keeps coming up with some incredible creations including his what the frikles, deep fried jalapeno poppers, and humongous mozz sticks. This list isn’t in any order, but there’s a reason this restaurant is at the top of the list.
Bobby’s
Bobby’s is a Greek restaurant that’s been a part of the Fairbanks community for decades. Their food is incredible and the atmosphere is beautiful. I had an amazing seafood stuffed avocado the last time I went there and it did not disappoint.
The Pump House
This restaurant was reconstructed to the gold rush era and features relics from that time, but they also feature delicious food. Prices are more on the expensive side. Their salmon mango salad is amazing! (And I hate salads)
Hari Om
This Indian restaurant was also visited by Guy Fieri.(S33E7) This may sound strange, but their fries are incredible. Everything else I have ever had from them was also delicious. If you love Indian food or fries, this place is a must!
Blue Roof Bistro
Blue Roof Bistro is located in downtown Fairbanks offering many gluten free options. Both of their fry options are amazing. The “Union” Chez Burger is also pretty great.
Brewsters
Brewsters is a great classic American food eatery. They have two locations in Fairbanks. If you love burgers and fries, this is where you can get some great food. I love their Texas toothpicks, their Bacon jam burger, their raspberry chicken sandwich, as well as their wicked Alaskan burger. They also serve great milkshakes.
Spice It Up
Spice It Up features food full of delicious spices as the name suggests. The lamb curry is amazing! You can also lower the carbs by getting cauliflower rice instead or normal rice.
*Update: Spice It Up had a fire and is currently not open.
Jason’s Donuts
This local Fairbanks donut shop has the best donuts! They hand cut all their donuts each day. But make sure you go early as they are only open until they sell out and that happens quickly! There is only so much capacity they have since they don’t have a machine to help them out. They have been voted the best donuts in Alaska by many people and it’s true.
*Update: Jason’s Donuts is moving to Eagle River and no longer located in Fairbanks.
Café De Stir It Up
This cafe is located in downtown Fairbanks and has the best chocolate cake that happens to be keto and gluten free! They have tons of savory foods that are dairy free, keto, gluten free and many other dietary restrictions. If there’s something you can’t have they are likely to be able to cater to your needs.
Hot Licks
This locally owned ice cream shop used to only be open during the summer, but now they have opened a drive through so they can serve their delicious ice cream all year round! They make homemade ice cream that’s always delicious! I love prudhoe and blueberry flavors.
