Other Great Places To Eat In Alaska

Alaska is a beautiful and expansive place to visit. If you haven’t been yet and you’re planning your dream vacation, or if you’re traveling around Alaska, these are some great places to eat from all around Alaska.   If you haven’t seen my post about the best restaurant’s in Fairbanks, check it out here!

Great places to eat

Anchorage

49th State Brewery

There are two locations in Alaska with rumors of a third. One is in Healy (with a small disc golf course) and the other in Anchorage. Both have the same incredible food. I love the Mt. Magnificent burger and their pretzel and beer cheese is mouth watering.  They also have a lager loaf served with honey butter that is my new favorite item.

Spenard Roadhouse

Local to Anchorage Alaska, this roadhouse features many options for dairy and gluten free individuals. I love their prosciutto fig pizza and their super tots. Their bacon jam burger is incredible. They have a bacon special each month.

Fire Island

There are several storefronts across Anchorage Alaska but they’re all delicious. My favorite food of theirs is their mango passion fruit cupcake. They have sandwiches and soups as well. Their breakfast sandwiches are made on incredible soft flavorful buns with arugula and a sausage patty.

South Restaurant & Coffeehouse

While this isn’t my favorite place to eat in Anchorage, it is a popular choice. They also offer many gluten free and vegan options.

Kenai

Brew@602

Soldotna Alaska features this unique eatery. They have a train car that you eat in! We tried their chicken & waffles and I have never wanted to return to a restaurant as much as I did with this one. They bake their chicken into the waffle and it’s soft and tasty and you just have to try it!

Burger Bus

Kenai Alaska is the home of this old bus that serves some incredible burgers. They also have some great fries that come alongside. If you love pickles, make sure to ask for extra because their pickles are the bomb!

Schnitzel Bomber

In Soldotna Alaska a hidden gem awaits with some incredible authentic German food. If you have never had schnitzel before, you have to try it here.  It’s crispy, delicious and authentic.

Palmer

Big Dipper

This local ice cream shop has tons of flavors including my son’s favorite banana ice cream. As the name suggests, they give you huge scoops. They try to source their ingredients locally and they do offer some dairy free options.
