More Than 40 Ways To Use Up Thanksgiving Leftover Turkey

If you hosted thanksgiving then chances are you ended up with some leftover Turkey. How will you use it all before it goes bad? Will you end up with turkey sandwiches for days? Or maybe you got an extra free turkey from a thanksgiving deal at the grocery store?  But have no fear, turkey is a very versatile meat that can taste great in many common dishes.  Here are some ideas on how you can use it!

Leftover Thanksgiving turkey

Freeze For Later

After your turkey has been cooked, you can freeze it and use it as needed.  I like to shred it up and freeze it flat in a gallon ziplock bag.  I then pull out what I need and use it similar to how I would use chicken.

Eat It On Its Own

Especially if you followed my recipe to sous vide your thanksgiving turkey eating it all on its own is a treat on its own. But this can get boring if you have a lot of leftovers and not many mouths to feed.

Pasta Dishes

  • Alfredo 
  • Pesto pasta
  • Lasagna
  • Spaghetti 
  • Mac & cheese
  • With noodles over mashed potatoes
  • Mix pesto, spaghetti and as Alfredo sauce together.  In a baking dish add cooked pasta, turkey, mushrooms, bell pepper, onions and sauce mixture. Top with cheese and bake until golden.

Soup Type Dishes

  • Turkey noodle soup
