Snacks
Having snacks is necessary for all kids. The parents booking your space will appreciate your thoughtfulness in providing some kid friendly snacks for their children. Some good options include popcorn, granola bars, or fruit strips.
High Chair
A high chair can be helpful for young kids who might not be ready to sit at a table for a meal. I love this portable one that straps to a chair. I have used it for my youngest kid and am pleased with how easy it is to clean up.
Pack & Play
A pack & play is perfect for traveling families. Kids under 2 are usually the target for this item. Make sure to provide a fitted sheet that fits pack & plays. It’s probably a good idea to keep 2 fitted sheets for the pack & play on hand.
Books
Some kid books are always a good option for parents to read to their kids, or for kids to flip through. Young kids may like goodnight moon, corduroy, Sandra Boyton books, or doctor Seuss books.

Toys
Easy to clean toys such as a ball, pull toy, duplos, magnatiles, or play food can be a great help to the families who may have forgotten to bring enough entertainment for their kids. You don’t need to provide a whole collection of toys, just a few simple ones.
Kid Friendly Dishes
Make sure you protect your kitchen too by providing kid friendly options for dishes, cups, and potentially silverware. Cheap plastic ware is perfectly acceptable to provide for kids. If you’re looking for something higher end, look into ezpz options.
Outlet Covers
Young kids could get hurt if you don’t have covers on outlets. Grab a big pack of them and put one on every outlet you have, or at least leave several in a drawer or closet for desperate parents.
Night Lights
Having a night light or two on hand can help children who are scared of the dark. Buy a pack of 10 simple night lights and keep one or two in a drawer or plugged in the bathrooms.
Other Things To Consider
Have less breakable items out. If you have lots of vases or lamps out, parents may be less likely to book with you. Less is more and you don’t need decor to clutter usable space for your guests.
Special Things
If you live near water, include some floaties, pool toys, or a baby shade for your guests. If you live somewhere cold, offer some sleds during the winter. If you have some outdoor sidewalk offer some chalk for the kids to draw with.
