I am not a salad person. I would not choose to get a salad 99.9% of the time. I would much rather eat anything but a salad- unless it’s fruit salad. But they say spinach is good for you. So I’ve been trying to eat more spinach in my daily diet but without eating a salad.
I don’t want to spend a lot of time preparing and or cooking spinach so I prefer to buy a bag of frozen spinach and heat a portion in the microwave as I go. You can also sauté it on the stove. It’s also more cost effective. If you buy spinach fresh it’s more expensive than a bag of frozen spinach.
So here is how you can add spinach into your diet!

Add spinach in something you might already make
In Alfredo– this is the easiest one to do. Especially if you already add broccoli. You won’t taste the spinach and you will think you’re just eating broccoli.
In spaghetti– you basically just add as much as you want to your portion of spaghetti and stir it in.
In tortellini soup– this 5 ingredient recipe calls for spinach but you won’t mind.
In curry– if you make a curry it should be flavorful enough that you won’t notice.
In eggs– I like to make scrambled eggs with spinach, sausages, and cheese. They’re very tasty but I don’t really taste the spinach.
In a casserole– if you already have a casserole you love and make, why not try to add spinach.
In a quesadilla– the tortilla and cheese will take center stage, but this will add some vitamins and color.
In a quiche– eggs seem to do a great job in hiding the flavor of spinach. There are tons of recipes that include spinach in a quiche.
With pesto & mushrooms & pasta- make up pasta and add pesto, mushrooms and spinach. Pesto has a strong flavor so you won’t know.
With mushrooms & Parmesan & pasta– make up some pasta then add mushrooms, Parmesan, and spinach.
Baked goods
In cookies– this one might be a stretch, but you can try some spinach chocolate chip cookies!
In pancakes– there are a lot of the recipes for adding spinach in pancakes are for toddlers who are picky eaters. But you cannot taste the spinach in them.
In muffins- along the same lines as pancakes, try some muffins and see how they taste.
In bread– have you had zucchini bread? Bread with spinach should be just as moist and delicious.
Other
In smoothies- smoothies are sweet and definitely help you drink those greens. Try some of these green smoothie recipes.
In pasta dough– in my opinion, this is the hardest way to add spinach to your diet, but if you make your own pasta, you can add some spinach in.
Under eggs with sriracha– this is the most spinach flavored thing on this list, but I like it. Basically you fry some eggs, throw them over the spinach and drizzle some sriracha on top. Sriracha is a strong flavor so it helps cover up the spinach. You can also add a sprinkle of cheese on top too.
