Easy Pie Crust For Any Kind Of Pie

If you’re looking for a great pie crust recipe, look no further. This easy recipe is perfect for any kind of pie, or even poptarts!

Easy pie crust

Ingredients

Shortening- half of the fat for this crust

Butter- the other half of the fat in this recipe, it should be cold and cubed

Flour- the grain for this crust. I use all purpose flour

Water- it should be ice cold, you can put some ice cubes in as long as it is less than 1/2 a cup that you add to the dough

Instructions

Cut the shortening and butter into the flour it should be crumbly with no more large pieces of fat

Slowly add the cold water mixing it all together

Separate the dough into 2 half’s

Roll out each half of the dough onto a well floured surface

Gently lift the crust and put it into a pie pan

Pinch the top of the crust to form a pattern

Blind bake at 375 for 15 minutes

Add your fillings and top with the other half of pie crust or form into a lattice or cut out shapes with a cookie cutter

Bake an additional 15 minutes
