Dorm Room Meal Plan For Cheap Limited Kitchen Cooking

This meal plan is intended for college students to be able to eat in their dorm room. All meals only uses a microwave and mini fridge. All prices are from Walmart. This meal plan is designed for one, but you can easily double portions or even make it stretch for feeding more. It may not be the most healthy, but it’s a great start for ideas.

Breakfast

Cereal– enjoy a bowl of cereal with milk for a classic breakfast

Eggs– hard boil some eggs in the microwave or poach in a small container

Toast & butter– it won’t really be toast if you don’t have a toaster, but butter on a slice of bread is still delicous.

Lunch

Ramen– boil water in the microwave for your ramen

Baked potatoes– bake your potatoes in the microwave by stabbing them with a fork then baking for 3-4 minutes per side

Sandwich– make a basic sandwich

Grilled cheese– microwave for 15-30 seconds or until cheese is melted 

Dinner

Egg over rice – poach an egg in the microwave by microwaving for 30 seconds then checking it with a finger every 10 seconds afterwards, cook rice in the microwave and enjoy

Fried rice– cook rice and add soy sauce, veggies, and an egg

Mac & cheese– boil your noodles in the microwave. Add some veggies and hot dogs for a more complete meal

Baked potato– bake your potatoes in the microwave by stabbing them with a fork then baking for 3-4 minutes per side

Chili- heat up your can of chili in the microwave, serve with rice or bread for a more complete meal

Snacks

Bananas– eat a banana

Cereal – eat it plain or with milk
