A sparkling clean Airbnb is one of the fastest ways to earn 5-star reviews and happy return guests. Sometimes guests leave the space in a less than desirable state and more cleaning is needed than the basic supplies. Here are the specialized cleaning supplies every Airbnb host should keep stocked for occasional use.

Oven cleaner
Occasionally the oven will need to be cleaned. Someone will drop pizza cheese or crumbs will accumulate. We have just a basic Walmart oven cleaner.
Stove top cleaner
We have glass stovetops and we use weiman cooktop cleaner and polish and cream to clean up the stove top when it inevitably gets burns and grease stains.
Pooph
Although our unit is smoke free, sometimes people who smoke, even if it’s not in the unit, can leave a smoke residue, pooph eliminates that smell or the smell of strong colognes or perfumes that often plague our unit.
Dish washer tablets
Every now and then a dishwasher needs to be cleaned. Throw a tablet in and run the dish washer on the longest hottest cycle for some deep cleaning action.
Washing machine tablets
Just like a dishwasher, a washing machine needs to be cleaned occasionally. Throw one of these in and run your washing machine on the longest hottest setting or on a cleaning cycle.
Rinse aid
To ensure your dishes are getting sparkly clean, we add rinse aid into our dishwasher. We got a huge jug off of Amazon.
Steam mop
Sometimes a standard mop doesn’t do a great job of cleaning deeply, so we have a steam mop for some deeper cleaning for the floor.
Stain remover
When stains happen, having a great stain remover can solve the problem. We use spray n’ wash.
Upholstery stain remover
We use Folex if our furniture or rugs get stains. It blends the color out and works best on gray or darker materials.
Shampooer
Occasionally we need to use a shampooer to remove stains from upholstery or rugs. We have a simple Hoover portable shampooer and it is perfect for what we need.
Ozonator
For extreme cases an Ozonator is needed. This is when someone smokes in the unit, or leaves unpleasant odors that need to be eliminated quickly.
