13 Things To Eat When Pregnant And Nothing Sounds Good

Pregnancy is hard. It’s really hard. During the first trimester your body goes through so many changes and sometimes eating food or even thinking of eating food can make you queasy. During the first trimester of my 4th pregnancy I was looking for posts about what foods are usually appealing when nothing sounds good, but all I could find is a Reddit post so I decided to make this post. I took my ideas from things I have enjoyed during my first trimesters and from what other mothers said on the Reddit post.

nothing sounds good

Bagel & cream cheese

A bagel and cream cheese will give you carbs and some protein from the cream cheese which makes it a great choice. If you want warm food, be sure to toast your bagel.

Cheese

Weather it’s Mac & cheese, extra cheesy pizza, or even just plain old cheese, it may be something you may be able handle when nothing else sounds good

Yogurt

Frozen or not yogurt may be just what you have been craving. It’s full of nutrients and healthy fat

Toast

Make it as simple or complex as you can tolerate, top it with butter, sugar, avocado, tomato & cheese, or cucumbers & cream cheese

Apples

Sliced, diced, or as apple sauce apples are great for you and usually something that sounds good

Bananas

Like apples bananas can provide you some good nutrients and are usually bland enough that they sound good during pregnancy

Oranges

Citrus can help with nausea, munch on an orange to keep it away

Strawberries

Usually strawberries are something that sounds good when pregnant

Grapes

The high water content fruits really hit the spot during pregnancy

Cucumbers

Again another produce item that’s high in water content it will keep you hydrated and happy try them sprinkled with salt or filled with cream cheese or in a cucumber sandwich. You can even try pickles if that sounds good

Crackers

A staple in the first trimester, sometimes crackers are all you can handle

Noodles

Ramen, Mac & cheese, buttered, with pesto or marinera noodles or pasta is a great food to stomach if you can to keep you going

Chocolate

Of course chocolate has to be on the list. Eat it straight or in a milkshake or drizzled on some apples or strawberries
